Lucy, affectionately referred to as "Lu-Lu" by Jody, was photographed by Dennis Glennon ---
on Jody's side lawn of all places! It was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Lucy's first grandchild, Silvercreek's Remington Elexis, was going home to her new family. Lexy (formerly known as 'Debbie Dog') had spent the first eight weeks of her life with her littermates under Jody's extreme love and care, and Jody was a little emotional as the first of her seven pups went home, so Joanne Silver of Silvercreek Chesapeakes brought over some doggie relatives to cheer her up and Dennis took 'family portraits' for everyone which made Lexy's moment of departure a fun and happy one for sentimental Jody.
Among the dog photographs Dennis took that afternoon, he captured a stunning portrait of Lucy which he gave exclusively to renowned artist Roger Pidney Davidson. "Pidney" then hand-sketched the image in pen & ink to create his incredible WORKIN' print!
WORKIN' is the official print for the American Chesapeake Club's 2000 National Specialty; considered by many to be Pidney's most outstanding image yet, due to its spirited expression
and fine detail. It is being produced in Limited Edition. Jody, of course, was one of the first to request an edition of it!
